Mycroboost: SEO Audit and Content Strategy

Challenge

A new medicinal mushroom brand wanted more brand recognition, website traffic and product sales in an increasingly competitive market.

Strategy

Using Semrush and Google Analytics, I ran a competitive analysis based on site traffic gathered from two Mycroboost competitors (you can review my findings here.)

TL;DR: I recommended Mycroboost switch from using industry lingo and thinly veiled promotional blogs to creating educational content that actually answered questions about the health benefits of the individual mushroom varieties (no one was searching “functional mushrooms,” but thousands were searching “What is turkey tail good for?”)

Results

Mycroboost implemented a new SEO and content strategy with new keywords, educational blogs with titles optimized for search and internal and external links to improve authority and page ranking. The site has had significant month-over-month uptick in organic traffic, blog shares, high-quality backlinks, brand mentions and conversions.
